Teff is one of the smallest grains in the world - so small it cannot be refined. As a result, it is always whole grain, packed with fiber, vitamins and minerals. For the weight of one grain of wheat, you need about 150 grains of teff. Small, but powerful, in other words.

Naturally gluten-free

These tiny grains are unprocessed and naturally gluten-free. They have a subtle, nutty flavor with a slightly sweet undertone, and fit perfectly into both savory and sweet dishes.

Versatile and easy to prepare

Teff cereal cooks easily to a soft, almost creamy texture. Bring half a cup of grain to a boil in two cups of water and simmer, covered, for 20 minutes. The grain absorbs the water and becomes deliciously tender - ideal as a base for a nutritious bowl, or as a side dish with vegetables and legumes.

Perfect for burgers, soups and more

Cooked teff is also a fine binder for vegetarian burgers: mix it with onion and garlic for a firm texture. Or use it to thicken soups, stews or sauces - raw or precooked.
