  • Mild sweet, nutty taste
  • Use raw or cooked
  • Naturally gluten-free
  • Organic and unprocessed teff

Teff is a naturally gluten-free grain with a mild sweet and nutty taste. Our teff is organic and unprocessed.

    Etiopian export ban

In Ethiopia, farmers have cultivated teff for thousands of years. However, the export of teff was prohibited for many years. This way the country wanted to guarantee the availability of food for its citizens. Only at the end of 2015, the ban was lifted. As the export of Ethiopian teff is still in its infancy, our teff comes from Spain.

    Use

You can use teff raw or boiled. Bring 1/2 cup in 2 cups of water to a boil. Let simmer for 20 minutes on low heat. Thicken soup and stews by letting teff simmer with the other ingredients or adding teff at the end of the preparation. Mix boiled teff with onion and garlic for a vegetarian burger.
