Soy bits coarse - perfect meat substitute with 50% protein
Soy pieces words made from defatted soy flour, which is puffed and pressed into different shapes, then dried. The real name is "Textured Vegetable Protein" and that is exactly what it is : soy pieces in different forms, full of vegetable protein, and with a firmer bite than tofu, for example, even after cooking or baking.
Organic soy pieces, without GMOs or additives
Our soy pieces are from controlled organic cultivation to European standards, and hence without the use of pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers. It is a European product and contains only soy flour without GMOs, and without additives of fillers, maltodextrin, yeast extracts or E numbers.
Soy pieces coarse - making your own vegan pieces
Soy pieces coarse are somewhat larger pieces, about the size of chicken nuggets. These pieces are excellent for making your own veggie or vegan meat or chicken dishes. With a little creativity and Pit&Pit ingredients, you can make your own vegan pieces that are much tastier and much cheaper than the industrial versions in the refrigerated section of the supermarket.
Soy pieces have a completely neutral taste, but effortlessly absorb all the flavors of spices, sauces and condiments.
Useing Soy chunks coarse
Coarse soy chunks take quite a long time to rehydrate - it's better to cook them first for 20 minutes until they are soft. Already at this stage you can possibly add broth powder, smoked vegan tamari any other condiments. Then squeeze the pieces well, and then you can use them in curry dishes, in oven dishes, fried pieces in salads, as kebabs or on skewers, in sandwiches 'shoarma', in tomato sauce and so on.
Depending on your dish, add Pit&Pit spice mixes, soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, miso paste and other condiments.
You can also - as a fast cooking method - add the soy chunks directly in dry form to wet preparations such as in a curry, tomato sauce or stew. The soy pieces absorb the moisture and flavor of the sauce.
