Growing your own crackling-healthy sprouts Growing your own seeds easily, it's fun to do and mega-healthy. Germs are the sprouts of all possible seeds. With just water and warmth you can let the seeds come to new life.

The beautiful shoots that appear are by far the most vital stage of any plant. They are no longer seeds, but they are not plants either. For the explosion of life, the sprouts still get their necessary nutrition entirely from the seed - not from soil - and that is converted for humans into valuable nutrients that are very easily absorbed and digested.

Organic sprout seeds

For the production of our certified organic sprouts, we use only seeds of organic origin. So it without the use of chemical pesticides, fertilizers and artificial additives, and without GMOs.

With almost all ready-to-eat sprouts in the supermarket, additives are added to the growing water and then additionally treated with disinfectant powder. With our organic sprouting seeds, however, you grow the purest and freshest, crispiest sprouts and microgreens possible.

Mustard seed germination seeds - tangy and delicious taste

With mustard seeds you grow spicy tasting sprouts, with a somewhat tangy flavor. Ideal in a salad or as a side dish meat, in sandwiches and with cheese.

Mustard sprouts: suitable for the dish method

Broadly speaking, there are 2 methods of sprouting. Each seed type has its specific method.

Mustard germination seeds are grown at home using the saucer method.

Ideally you do this in a mini greenhouse on hemp mats, which you can find at Pit&Pit. But it can also just be done on a plate or in a container with cotton wool. Here's the simple step-by-step plan:

1.Cover a saucer or plate with a layer of cotton wool or use hemp mats, and wet them. Squeeze out most of the water to form an even surface. Pour off the squeezed out water.

2.Spread mustard seeds over this. Make sure the seeds are not laying on top of each other. Heaps of seed can form clumps. Press the seed lightly. Store the dish at room temperature. Make sure there is enough daylight, but do not place the greenhouse or container in full sunlight.

3.Keep the cotton wool moist for 6 days, but not too wet.

4.After 4-6 days the mustard seed microgreens are ready for use. Cut the required part of the sprouts as low as possible. At room temperature you can keep the sprouts for a few days and consume them.

Keep the jar with the sprouts dry, sealed, and in the dark in the pantry.
