Milky Oolong tea organic: a creamy sensation from Fujian
Our Milky Oolong tea is a special blend straight from the lush slopes of Fujian, China. This province, known for its rich tea traditions, provides the ideal conditions to grow the unique Oolong tea leaves. They are carefully harvested and undergo a delicate oxidation process. This is followed by a refined aromatization with coffee and vanilla flavors, resulting in a tea that harmoniously combines tradition and innovation.
A delicious tradition
Milky Oolong has its roots in the harsh regions of China and Taiwan. In the traditional preparation method, Oolong leaves were steamed over milk, resulting in a distinctive creamy aroma. As a modern interpretation of this, we enrich our tea with natural vanilla and coffee flavors, resulting in a flavor experience reminiscent of a sophisticated "latte": sweet, warm and deliciously creamy. The flavoring is subtle and balanced, with a stronger aroma in the dry leaf than in the cup, where it gives a smooth, creamy mouthfeel.
Expect a palette of creamy, sweet notes, leaning toward caramel. The nose is indulged with creaminess and a notable floral component. The coffee extract provides depth, but is subtly present on the palate.
Make the perfect Milky Oolong
Western method
Use 12 grams per liter of water at about 80°C. Allow the tea to steep for 2 to 3 minutes. This can be extended to 4 minutes for a stronger infusion.
With a Gaiwan
Use 4 grams per cup. Water of 80 to 85°C is perfect.
Choose a first rinse to open the leaves or drink it immediately. You can infuse this tea up to 4-5 times. Brewing time is 15 seconds for first infusion, 25 seconds for subsequent infusions. At five infusions, the aroma becomes softer and less pronounced.
Milky Oolong Latte
For a delicious latte, steep 8 grams of tea in 250 ml hot water at 90°C. Remove the tea and add 250 ml of hot milk. Stir well for a rich and creamy pleasure.
