What is Kombucha? The healthy substitute for soft drinks
Kombucha is a very healthy drink that is full of probiotics: live bacteria that are very beneficial for the health of our intestines, gut flora and digestion.
Kombucha is created through a fermentation process. The basic ingredients for kombucha are the kombucha fungus, (also called Scoby - the abbreviation for Symbiotic Culture of Bacteria and Yeast).In addition, to make kombucha, tea and sugar are needed.
Thus, kombucha is not only known for its thirst-quenching properties, but also as a healthy substitute for soft drinks.
Unique brewing process: kombucha without sugar!
We chose our kombucha because of a unique feature: our Belgian kombucha brewer has developed a unique process of fermentation in the bottle, which converts no less than 99.98% of the sugar into a naturally sparkling drink and healthy vitamins.
In short, this kombucha is a crackling healthy tea-based soft drink, completely without sugars. During fermentation, bacteria and yeasts convert the sugars and develop lactic acid, acetic acid, glucuronic acid and various vitamins.
What are probiotics?
Probiotics are beneficial and live bacteria of a special kind. Indeed, many types of bacteria are killed by the stomach acid, small intestine or bile even before they reach the large intestine.
Most probiotic bacteria, however, do survive the stomach and small intestine and end up in the colon where they develop their healing powers. Similar beneficial organisms are also found, for example, in yoghourt.

This Balance takes our kombucha drink to an even higher level, thanks to the use of organic rice syrup. The conversion of this syrup by the kombucha ferments, results in the highest quality kombucha ever and is also carbon dioxide free.

Fruit puree, juice or flavorings are added to many kombucha in the supermarket, or offered as fancy soft drinks in cans.
But that can't be the point! Our kombucha is brewed from 100% organic ingredients, without any additives. No sugar substitutes such as aspartame are added either.

Kombucha balance is the absolute basic kombucha as a probiotic drink.
To your own taste you can mix this kombucha with for example fruit juice or natural sweeteners like syrups.
It is also suitable to experiment with smoothies, or in summer coctails with or without alcohol.
