This edible mushroom is named after its characteristic funnel shape and has a striking sooty gray to black color.

Use Dried Horn of Plenty
Soak the Horn of Plenty in hot water for 10 minutes. Drain them in a sieve. Use the mushrooms as you would fresh mushrooms.
For an even better result, let them soak in lukewarm water for a few hours. Then the taste will be optimal and there will be hardly any hard pieces. What's more, you will be left with a fragrant and colourful extract: a perfect stock basis.
Horn of Plenty are delicious in omelets, pies, vegetable tarts, seafood and stews. It is also the very best choice for soups.
To give dishes an extra kick you can also grind the dried Horn of Plenty into a fine powder and sprinkle it over hot or cold dishes just before serving.
