Authentic Japanese sencha
Sencha is traditionally from Japan and means "steamed tea" "Sen" means" namely steamed" and "cha" means "tea", both in Chinese and Japanese. The name comes from the fact that the tea is gently steamed immediately after harvest, and not roasted. Unlike other teas, such as Gyokuro and Tencha, Sencha plants are not shaded but grow in direct sunlight, which stimulates the formation of chlorophyll.
Hand-picked on the iconic Fuji volcano
Mount Fuji in the east of the island is a world-famous volcano, with a snow-capped peak. It is the highest island peak in Japan and the sixth highest volcano in the world. The volcano is an iconic image -considered sacred and plays a major role in Japanese culture.
Thanks to its mild climate and fertile and nutrient-rich volcanic soil, the tea plantations on the flanks of Mount Fuji are known for their excellent quality Sencha tea. They are centuries old tea gardens, mostly still owned by small farmers who still pick their own tea.
Sencha with the highest reputation: rare, pure and full of flavor
Our Sencha Fuji comes from a garden at the foot of Mount Fuji and impresses with its mild, slightly sweet flavor. Considering the place where it is grown, it is an extremely rare Japanese green tea of very high quality, soft, slightly sweet round and intensely full of flavor. This Fuji tea therefore has a huge reputation, and is probably the purest sencha you can drink.
Exquisite organic green tea without additives
Our Sencha Fuji tea is from certified organic farming, so grown without the use of pesticides, herbicides or the use of fertilizers. The tea contains no additives or added flavors.
