Traditional Japanese Kukicha tea is a special green tea with a strong, slightly sweet flavor. Kukicha is made from the stems of tea leaves left over from traditional tea production. These stems are roasted, creating the unique flavor of Kukicha tea.

Kukicha tea is a fine example of the typical Japanese style of tea production where raw materials are wasted as little as possible.

Japanese Kukicha with low caffeine content

Kukicha is a green tea with low caffeine content. Therefore, in Japan, this tea is customarily drunk in the afternoon or evening.

Usage

Pour about 1 teaspoon per cup with hot water and steep for 1 to 3 minutes. For optimal flavor, use 2 grams of tea leaves per 200ml of water and use water around 70 degrees.
