Curry paste with a galaxy of spices for a broad flavor experience
It wouldn't be Pit&Pit without genuine herbs and spices!
Our garam masala curry paste is crafted with over 20 flavorful ingredients, including onions, ginger, asafoetida, fenugreek, chili, tomato paste, red lentils, and vinegar.
Garam Masala
Garam masala is a spice blend frequently used in North Indian cuisine, from curries and lentil dishes to soups. The name translates to "warming spices", meant to heat the body and boost metabolism.
In North India, dishes are warm, but not spicy-hot.
Organic curry paste with no additives
Our Madras curry paste is made from 100% natural ingredients sourced from organic farming. This means no chemical herbicides, pesticides, or artificial fertilizers. No colorants, preservatives, flavor enhancers, stabilizers, anti-caking agents, or other additives are used in crafting this curry paste.
Low carb and keto-diet friendly
The garam masala paste contains less than 6.3 grams of carbs per 100 grams, of which barely 1 gram is sugars. The paste, following the age-old Ayurvedic tradition, contains ghee or clarified butter, providing mostly unsaturated healthy fats.
Preparing Delicious Garam Masala Curries
With garam masala curry paste, you can create delightful curry dishes in the authentic Indian style. Sauté vegetables and/or poultry or meat with onions and fresh ginger briefly in ghee or another oil like virgin coconut oil.
Then add the garam masala curry paste (1 tablespoon per serving/person) and let it simmer.
For added flavor, marinate chunks of vegetables, meat, or tofu overnight in the curry paste. Stir in plant-based cream, yogurt, cream cheese, or coconut cream for a creamy sauce and let it simmer for a few more minutes.
Serve with rice. Your Indian curry is ready!
Heads up: Our curry pastes stand apart from the big brand ones you find in supermarkets. They're refined recipes with unique flavor nuances. They aren't diluted with excessive hot peppers and additives.
This curry paste offers subtle flavor layers. Best experienced by adding it directly to your veggies or meat.
If you love spicy-hot, add fresh chilies to the dish itself, not the curry paste. This retains the complex flavors.
1 pack of curry paste serves 3-4 people.
Also, try the curry paste in soups, or swap chicken with seitan, soy chunks, or naked oats. Cook soy chunks or naked oats until tender in light veggie broth with a splash of soy sauce. Then sauté them with your choice of curry paste.
