Organic, raw seaweed from Galicia
Our organic dulse seaweed grows along the coastline of Galicia, in northwestern Spain. The seaweed is harvested here by hand by a small family business. After harvesting, the seaweed is left to air dry naturally. The temperature remains below 40°C. Finally, we cut the dulse seaweed into handy, ready-to-use flakes.
The taste and texture of bacon
Raw dulse seaweed has a dark red to purple colour. First, this seaweed provides a salty taste. Then, the full, smoky and nutty flavor is released. The texture of raw dulse is soft and thick. As a result, it is reminiscent of bacon.
Use of dulse seaweed flakes
Sprinkle the raw flakes on egg dishes and popcorn. Or use them in mayonnaise, vinaigrettes, vegetable, grain and pasta salads.
Add some dulse seaweed flakes to soup, miso, risotto, pasta sauces or stewed vegetables a few minutes before the end of the cooking time. Or substitute salt for dulse flakes as a flavoring in the cooking water of potatoes and pasta.
Ingredients
Dried dulse seaweed flakes from Galicia. Raw, organic and harvested by hand. Free of additives.
