Blue Lotus—A Ceremonial Flower from Thailand

The blue lotus (Nymphaea caerulea) is a unique water lily with a long history. In ancient Egypt and Southeast Asia, the flower was used in temples and rituals to calm the mind and promote relaxation. Today, it is still valued for its flavor and gentle, meditative effects.

Who is it for?

For anyone looking for a soothing, ceremonial herb that aids in relaxation and meditation. Its floral flavor also makes it ideal for those who enjoy discovering unique herbal teas.

Carefully Cultivated, Purely Natural

Our blue lotus is carefully cultivated in small fields in Thailand. The flowers are completely organic (though not officially certified), hand-picked, and slowly dried at a low temperature. No machines, chemicals, or other aids are used—only pure craftsmanship and respect for the plant.

Flavor and Use

The flavor is floral, slightly spicy, and exceptionally pleasant. Perfect as a meditative preparation.

  • As tea: use 1–1.5 g of petals per cup (200–250 ml) of water at 80–85°C; steep for 7–10 minutes.

  • Pairs beautifully with hibiscus, lavender, lemon balm, or rooibos.

  • Can also be used in infusions, oils, or traditionally smoked.

The Story Behind the Flower

Our supplier, Mario, discovered the blue lotus during his own spiritual journey. Fascinated by the power of plants, he decided to cultivate his own fields in Thailand and harvest the flowers with the utmost care. Thanks to his years of dedicated work, we are now able to offer blue lotus of exceptional quality.

Ingredients
