Dried Buttter mushrooms
Butter mushrooms are from the boletus family which are edible mushrooms with a short thick stalk. There are dozens of boletus subspecies, but the best known are the brown butter mushroom (or chestnut bolete) and the funghi porcini. Both of these are known to have even more flavour when dried, and are therefore tastier than fresh.
Organic mushrooms
These mushrooms are grown organically according to European standards. So without chemical fertilizers and without the use of pesticides and herbicides. Therefore we guarantee extra pure quality. It is 100% natural, without additives or preservatives.
Mushrooms, the super vegetable
Mushrooms are an important source of vitamin B2, vitamin B3, folic acid and the minerals potassium and phosphorus. In addition, mushrooms (such as the boletus family) are rich in fiber and copper. Due to their meaty structure, boletus mushrooms - and other mushrooms - are also easily used in dishes as a meat substitute. For this reason, mushrooms are sometimes referred to as 'super vegetables'.
Use dried organic butter mushrooms
After rehydrating, these mushroomsare ready to use. Typically used in stews, with game and vegetable dishes. Butter mushrooms can also replace porcini in all kinds of Italian dishes, such as risotto and on pizza. Butter mushrooms can also be used in omelets, and with white fish.
