Coarse organic bulgur
Bulgur are presteamed wheat grains. After steaming, the grains are dried and coarsely ground. Our bulgur is organic and entirely free of additives. It has a mild nutty taste and light texture. Bulgur is a nutritious alternative for rice or couscous.
Versatile grain
Bulgur is often used in Turkish, Indian or Mediterranean kitchens. You can eat it pure like nuts. Or use bulgur for kibbeh or tabouleh. Bulgur is delicious in pilav and salads, with spicy stews, meat, vegetables, in soup or even in pastry and bread. Bulgur absorbs fluids like butter, oil, baking fluid, dressings and other sauces very quickly. In India, bulgur is eaten with milk and sugar for breakfast.
Use
Pour 150g bulgur in a bowl and add 6dl of boiling water. Stir once and let the bulgur swell for 15-20 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
