Preparation
In the oven
Use 500 gr bread baking mix and ± 300 ml water. Knead into a dough ball for 20 min, either by hand or with the kneading function of the breadmaker. With a suitable kitchen robot, 10-12 minutes of kneading is sufficient.
Cover the dough with cling film or a kitchen towel and let rise at room temperature for 30-40 min. Press the dough flat with your hands and give it the shape you want. Place it in a greased baking pan or on a baking sheet.
Cover the dough again and let rise at room temperature until doubled in volume (about 40 minutes). Then bake the bread for 40-45 minutes in a preheated oven at 230°C.
In the breadmaker
To bake in a breadmaker, use 500 gr of flour and ± 310 ml of water.
Accurately measure the mix and water and pour the ingredients into the bowl. Choose a program of 2 to 4 hours. Press "Start. After the end signal, remove the bread from the bowl . Let cool on a wire rack.

Some hints and troubleshooters:
All at room temperature
-
Make sure the bread baking mix is not too cold from the pantry, put it in room temperature for a while beforehand
-
use lukewarm water, certainly not too cold, but not really hot either
My bread doesn't rise?
Our bread baking mixes have precise amounts of ingredients and powerful yeast. The mix is dimensioned for a fairly compact and not too fluffy bread. So on not too excessive rise.
-
Small adjustments to amount of water ( 5 to 10 cl) often work wonders. The more water, the easier it rises and the softer the bread. Respect the maximum amounts as indicated.
-
Do not add salt or sugar.
-
You can possibly add a small teaspoon of ascorbic acid (Vitamin C) to the flour, if the rising is not quite successful anyway
-
Depending on your bread maker: preferably use the program 'baking mixes' with a duration of 2.5 hours
My bread is sticky and I can't cut nice slices
