Sustainably Caught in Scotland

Sprat (Sprattus sprattus) is caught off the Scottish coast. It is one of the most sustainable fish species available, as sprat reproduces rapidly, helping to maintain a healthy population.

The species feeds almost exclusively on plankton and small crustaceans, and not on other fish. This makes it a clean fish species, low on the food chain.

Nutritious and All-Natural

Sprat is a truly fatty fish, packed with omega-3 fatty acids. It’s also rich in minerals such as iron and magnesium. With 22.4% protein, it’s a substantial source of protein, while its salt content remains low at 0.25%.

Since the small bones are edible, you also get a good dose of calcium. Packed in water, the flavor remains light and pure, with no added fats.
