What is pistou?

Pistou is a classic herb paste from southern France, similar to pesto but without nuts and cheese. Unlike pesto, which often contains pine nuts and Parmesan cheese, pistou consists purely of fresh herbs and olive oil. This makes it a light, allergen-free condiment that gives your dishes a fresh and aromatic touch.

Shake the jar before use and store refrigerated after opening. Within six months, the pistou is at its tastiest. Always use a clean spoon or knife and add a dash of olive oil if necessary to make the texture even more creamy.
