What is pistou?

Pistou is a classic herb paste from southern France, similar to pesto but without nuts and cheese. Where pesto is often filled with pine nuts and Parmesan cheese, pistou consists purely of fresh herbs and olive oil. This makes it a light, allergen-free and pure seasoning that gives your dishes a fresh and aromatic touch.

This variety contains more than 30% wild garlic, cultivated in organic farming. In Flanders, wild garlic is on the red list with protected status, and is therefore not allowed to be picked wild. With this choice, we support biodiversity and use only responsible, cultivated wild garlic for an intense, aromatic flavor.

Practical and hygienic

Shake the jar before use and store refrigerated after opening. Within six months, the pistou is at its tastiest. Always use a clean spoon or knife to maintain quality and freshness. If necessary, add a dash of olive oil to make the texture even more creamy.
