Palo santo: traditional ritual wood

Palo santo (Bursera graveolens) is known for its warm, woody scent and is traditionally used in spiritual and energetic rituals. The wood supports moments of relaxation, focus and reorientation, and helps create a peaceful atmosphere without being overwhelming.

Ethically and sustainably harvested

Each stick in this bundle is made from natural fallen wood from Peru. No trees were cut down for this product. The harvesting is done in an ethical and sustainable manner, respecting nature and local ecosystems. The wood is completely natural and organic.

This is how to use palo santo

Light the stick at an angle of about 45 degrees with a candle or lighter. Allow the flame to burn for 30 seconds to 1 minute, then blow gently so that the fire extinguishes and the wood begins to smolder. Blow gently if necessary to rekindle the glow. Smoke will now be released.

Move quietly through the space you wish to cleanse or support, staying conscious of your positive intention. Afterwards, place the stick in a heatproof bowl or on a plate. The glowing will stop by itself.

Multiple uses.

The sticks are about 10 cm long and do not need to burn long to give off enough smoke. Each stick can be used multiple times, making it last a long time.

Safe and conscious use

• Never extinguish palo santo with water (unless in an emergency).

• Water can mold the wood and make it more difficult to re-light

• Always check that the stick is completely extinguished, as it can sometimes reignite
