Hand-formed seaweed sheets

Nori is made like paper, by scooping finely ground seaweed pulp onto a flat sieve. These are then dried into thin sheets.  It is not made from a single specific type of seaweed but rather from a single seaweed family (Porphyra). That is why the color may vary slightly. 

Organic nori sheets

The Porphyra seaweed used to produce our nori sheets is harvested in Korea and sorted with great expertise. Only sustainable harvesting methods are used, with respect for marine fauna and flora.

The nori is extensively tested for heavy metals, pesticides, and herbicides, radioactivity, and microbiological contamination. The product also holds a European organic certification, monitored in accordance with French regulations.

How can you use nori?

You can use these nori sheets in various ways. Use them for rolled sushi (makizushi), cone-shaped sushi (temaki), or rice balls (onigiri), with the beautiful, glossy side facing out. 

Or you can cut them into thin strips and use them as a garnish or flavor enhancer in salads, soups, and noodle dishes. Try using nori as a ribbon to decoratively tie a slice of omelet or eel to a rice ball, for example.
