What is MCT oil? Healthy fats from the coconut
MCT is the abbreviation for "Medium Chain Triglycerides". They are fats of a special kind. Dairy products such as milk, yogurt, butter do contain some MCTs in their fat composition, but the real, concentrated source of MCTs is coconut.
Therefore, MCT oil is a type of coconut oil that consists 100% only of Medium Chain Triglycerides.
One fatty acid is not the other
Fats are one of the macro-nutrients on the diet. They provide energy to the body. But one fatty acid is not the other. The vast majority of fatty acids we get through our diet are long chain fatty acids. However, medium-chain fatty acids have a different molecular structure due to the number of carbon atoms they contain, and are, however, absorbed by the body in a very different way. They are metabolized differently. Our bodies also find them easier to absorb and convert into energy.
MCT oil C8/C10 - 100% pure with no additives, moreover in an optimal ratio for the Keto diet
MCT fatty acids have a C number and a name. In this MCT oil we use C8 ( Caprylic acid or octanoic acid) and C10 (Capric acid or decanoic acid).
Moreover, the ratio of both fatty acids is optimal for the keto diet : 80% of the oil consists of caprylic acid and 20% of capric acid.
Perfect for vegans, athletes and a must in the keto diet
Medium chain fatty acids are absorbed into the body in a different way than long chain fatty acids, giving you energy much faster. These fats are not stored in adipose tissue but converted into energy and ketones.
Because of these properties, MCT is ideal as a sports nutrition supplement and for quick energy during exercise. This oil is also extremely suitable for vegans and veggies because of its medium-chain fatty acids from vegetable sources. And it is a must for support in ketogenic diets and weight management.

Using MCT oil organic
MCT oil as an alternative to cooking oil and salad oil
MCT oil has a completely neutral taste and you can use as an alternative to regular coconut oil or other cooking oil. Use at 175° C maximum. Not so suitable for deep frying. Also cold you can use it culinary such as in salad dressing, in dips, sauces, shakes or smoothies.
MCT oil as a supplement
MCT oil is virtually tasteless and odorless, making it easy to mix into food and drinks. It is very popular to add 1-2 teaspoons of MCT oil to your morning coffee. You can also add MCT oil to sports drinks.
Always build up the intake of MCT oil in the beginning. Start with 1 teaspoon per day and slowly scale up to a maximum of 3-4 EL per day.
