The hummus is made from chickpeas whose cooking liquid - aquafaba - is used as a plant-based alternative to egg. As the demand for aquafaba continues to grow, there is an abundance of cooked chickpeas. Instead of wasting them, they are transformed into this rich, flavorful hummus. Good for the planet, and at least as good on your plate.
