No added sugars

This organic flower honey is made by bees that are not fed added sugar during the flowering period.

The honey is pure and unprocessed. This means that no additional sugars or other sweeteners are added during preparation either.

With extra propolis, a natural medicine

Beekeepers do mix this popular flower honey with extra propolis. Propolis is a resinous material made by bees from the sap of trees and other plants. They mix the sap with their own secretions and beeswax. This produces a sticky, brownish-green product that bees use to seal openings in the hive.

With propolis, the bees protect the hive from bacteria, fungi and other invaders.

The main properties of propolis

• Antimicrobial: propolis has antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral properties.

• Anti-inflammatory: it can help reduce inflammation. This is why you often see propolis used in traditional medicine. A cup of tea with a spoonful of this honey can soothe your throat when needed.

• Skin care: propolis is known for its wound-healing abilities and is often used in skin care products.

Using floral honey with propolis

A strong honey, with a distinct flavor. You can spread it on your bread just like that. It is delicious in a hot cup of tea, with an optional squeeze of lemon juice. But drizzling this honey over a scoop of ice cream can also make you happy.
