    Sowing & harvesting

    Start your herbal adventure by sowing the seeds in a seedbed in April or May. For direct growth in the open ground, wait until May or June.     Basil wants light & love

    Basil needs love, warmth, and especially sunlight to germinate. Therefore, don't cover the seeds with soil, but give them a chance to sprout in direct sunlight. Make sure there is 30 cm between rows and 25 cm between plants, so that each basil has room to flourish.

    Our basil loves warmth and unfortunately is not a fan of cold. Protect your plants from frost and beware: lots of rain and temperatures below eight degrees can cause leaf discoloration. But no worries, with the right care and love, the medium-sized leaf shape of this basil adds excellent flavor to your dishes.
