The bonbon, that's 'Belgium in a chocolate', because in both Flemish and French we call it "praline". In 18th century Brussels, cocoa was only sold as a medicinal product by pharmacists. The story goes that the first real pralines were made by a pharmacist who incorporated his medicines into chocolate to make them taste better. The birth of the Belgian chocolate.
These superfood bonbons continue in that tradition. They are the brainchild of Katarina, a Flemish bio-engineer with a passion for beekeeping. She evaluates the health aspects through the lens of science, but the end product is a Belgian artisanal quality praline.
Aromatherapy in a bonbon: tangerine essential oil
With these superfood bonbons, we return to the essence. We put a drop of essential tangerine oil in healthy cocoa and natural honey. Just like the pharmacist did.
Tangerine oil is used in phytomedicin for a feeling of happiness. The floral and fruity tones combine perfectly with really anything and that at any time of the day. This superfood bonbon tangerine also contains organic sweet cherry.
