Health first! Tight acrylamide management
The harder, longer and hotter you roast coffee beans, the stronger the coffee. In many coffee pores, coffee is literally roasted to 'charcoal'. Tasty, but there are health limits.
When processing many coffees, too much roasting causes a lot of acrylamides to be formed, a substance that can be formed when starchy products are burned. Acrylamides are quite unhealthy and harmful. Even the lover of strong coffee doesn't want this. We therefore categorically exclude the very strongest roasts with a high risk of acrylamides.
By allowing the fresh and very high-quality coffee beans to be roasted at a lower temperature and for somewhat longer, the delicious flavours and aromas come into their own. The slower, moderate roasting method ensures a healthy, high-quality coffee and allows our coffee roaster to perform tight acrylamide monitoring at each roast.
Using compostable capsules in your Nespresso machine
Our 100% compostable capsules can only be used for the classic Nespresso machine. So not the vertuo version.
Our Kivu coffee capsules can be recognised by their light green ring. It can be made as a delicious espresso or ristretto, but also as an Italian lungo. For a perfect espresso experience, never forget to heat your cups with hot water.
