    Cacao paste consist solely of ground cacao beans. Our cacao paste wafers are raw and all-natural. We do not roast our beans before grinding, therefore the cacao optimally retains its nutritional value. We only use Criollo cacao beans from Peru. This bean is known as the 'Queen of cacao' because of its superior quality. Cacao paste is used as a base for chocolate.

    Cacao is one of the raw ingredients you find in chocolate. In chocolate, the healthy properties of cacao are undercut because of added fats and sugars in chocolate. However, unprocessed, cacao provides antioxidants and minerals like magnesium. The taste of unprocessed cacao cannot be compared to chocolate. It is a little dryer and more bitter.
