Our organic psyllium husk or psyllium fiber is 100% natural. In order to produce this psyllium hushk, the psyllium seeds are filtered until practically only the useful fibers remain.
Finely-ground psyllium husk of top-quality
Psyllium husks are the cleaned and dried husks of flea seeds. Psyllium husk contains 3 times more fibres than psyllium seeds. Furthermore, our psyllium husk has more than double the swelling capacity that is required by the European Pharmacopoeia. Our psyllium husk is 100% natural, without additives.
Safe use of psyllium husk
This psyllium husk is safe to use and non-irritating. Psyllium husk absorbs water, which causes it to swell. Therefore it is important to always drink enough water while using psyllium.
Use
Psyllium husk dissolved in water is used as a binding agent and to give a creamy texture to pastry and bread. It also lengthens the shelf life of bread and pastry.
Dissolve in water or yoghurt, use pure or blend in sauce to thicken the sauce.
Psyllium husk is also often used during a sand treatment for horses.
