Making your own veggie burgers, without additives
Ready-made veggie burgers from refrigerated shelves often contain "yeast extracts" - that's a fancy name for added flavorings.
You'll also often find thickeners, maltodextrin, lactose or egg powders in the ingredient list. Moreover, these veggie burgers are mostly in an energy-dense cold chain.
None of this is very nice, but fortunately there is an excellent alternative: in no time you can prepare your own veggie burgers with our Pit&Pit dry burger mixes. Just add water, knead and fry for a few minutes.
100% natural burger mix, without additives
The Pit&Pit burger mix contains no additives at all, such as preservatives, flavor enhancers, yeast extracts, anti-caking agents or added sugars. It is also suitable for people with soy intolerance.
Italian flavors, with a precise blend of spices
The base of this plant-based burger is a combination of chickpeas and spelt. To that, we add a hefty palette of southern herbs, spices and seasonings: dried tomato, dried red pepper, garlic, parsley, oregano, rosemary, thyme, and onion. Italianissimo!
This Pit&Pit mix for plant-based burgers is very low in fats, on the other hand, quite high in protein and healthy dietary fiber.
Preparation
Pour the contents of the package into a bowl and add 230 ml of hot water. Mix thoroughly and let the mixture rest for 15 minutes.
Moisten your hands in cold water, then form burgers up to 1 cm thick by hand.
Heat 3 tablespoons of oil in a frying pan and fry the burgers for about 2 minutes on each side.
The 140 g package is good for 4 burgers.
