    Ground Ceylon cinnamon in the kitchen

    Ceylon cinnamon has a soft, mild flavour and a delicious aroma. Use Ceylon cinnamon also with sweet side dishes and desserts such as fruit compotes, puddings, apple sauce, cakes or rice pudding.

    Besides sweet dishes, Ceylon cinnamon is also very tasty with rice and chicken, such as Indian chicken tandoori, with meat dishes and in Greek Moussaka.

    The main difference between this Ceylon cinnamon and cassia is the coumarin content. Cassia contains approx. 2g to 5g coumarins while Ceylon cinnamon only contains approx. 0.015g coumarins. Our Ceylon cinnamon is always analysed for coumarines to ensure the best quality of cinnamon.

    The real Ceylon cinnamon is softer, more complex and mild. The deep, full-bodied taste of cassia goes very well with savoury dishes, while the finer Ceylon cinnamon combines better with sweet.

    Usage

    Use of ground cinnamon

    Add cinnamon to taste to your dish or drink.

    For your health: 3 to 5 times 500 mg per day with a maximum of 5 grams per day.
