    Traditional African black soap is a household name in West Africa and is also known as Alata Samina. It is used for deep cleansing of the skin and for various skin problems. The composition of African Black Soap can vary by area of origin, often different tribes or families, use their own unique recipe.

    Our Black Soap is very authentic and is handmade in Ghana using traditional methods. Black Soap contains 100% natural ingredients from African nature, such as Shea Butter, cold-pressed Coconut Oil, Moringa Oil and Neem Oil.

    The soap is therefore free of chemicals, preservatives, sulfates, fragrances or colorants. The soap is very concentrated and therefore very economical in use.

    Our African black soap is an authentic and traditional handmade product from West Africa.The production of our shea butters is very labor intensive, and completely handmade. Our shea butter and the products made with it come exclusively from northern Ghana. A cooperative organization of strong and enterprising women create a 100% natural premium product, and earn a fair price for it.

    African Black Soap use

    Hair: Lather the soap between your wet hands. Gently massage your scalp and wash your hair with the lather. Then rinse with lukewarm water.

    Body: Rub a wet washcloth or scrub sponge over the soap and apply to your body. The soap cleanses your skin and refines skin texture. Then rinse the skin with lukewarm water.

    Face Using your fingertips, massage the lather into your face but avoid your eyes. The soap removes dead skin cells from your skin. For best results, leave the soap on for about 2 minutes and then rinse your face with lukewarm water.

    Tips for use :

    • African black soap is highly concentrated, you only need to use a little.

    • After use, your skin may feel a little tight. After all, the soap is a deep cleanser. If you notice that your skin does not feel comfortable after using it, the advice is to use less lather on your skin.

    • Rinse off after use and use a natural moisturizer, such as our shea body butter cream.

    • Black soap foams immediately on contact with water, so do not leave your soap in water.
