Supremo arabica coffee beans

€20,20

  • Blend of 5 types of coffee beans
  • 80% intensity
  • Dark roast
  • Artisanal roasted
  • A unique blend, 80% intensity

Supremo is a unique blend of 5 different, exceptional quality beans from Honduras, Brazil, Colombia, Indonesia and Uganda. Each of these coffees are 100% Arabica beans.

Dark roast for an intense coffee experience

The Supremo arabica blend is dark roast; after roasting the beans have a deep-dark colour. This makes for an intense coffee. In the cup it comes out powerful as espresso and lungo, without unpleasant bitterness and with a deliciously strong aftertaste. The undertones are subtle and hint at dark chocolate.

You don't want acrylamides in your coffee

Many people like the strongest coffee possible. Four factors determine the strength of your coffee and the length of the aftertaste. Body, acidity, acidity and roast. The first 3 provide taste, subtlety and elegance. Roast ensures brutal power. The harder, longer and hotter you roast, the stronger the coffee. But there are health limits.

At the strongest roasts, lots of acrylamides are formed, just like frying French fries in burnt oil. Acrylamides are in any case unhealthy and cancer-inducing. That's not what the lover of strong coffee wants either. We exclude the very strongest roasts with a high risk of acrylamides on principle.

At Pit&Pit health always comes first, also with coffee.

When processing many coffees, too high a degree of roasting results in the formation of large amounts of acrylamides, a substance which can be formed when starchy products are burned. Acrylamides are extremely unhealthy and harmful. Even the lover of strong coffee doesn't want this. We therefore categorically exclude the very strongest roasts with a high risk of acrylamides.

By allowing the fresh and very high-quality coffee beans to be roasted at a lower temperature and for somewhat longer, the delicious flavours and aromas come into their own. The slower, moderate roasting method ensures a healthy, high-quality coffee and allows our coffee roaster to perform tight acrylamide monitoring at each roast.

    Use Supremo arabica coffee beans

This coffee is delicious as espresso (3 cl) but also as Italian lungo (9 cl). This coffee can also be drunk as an Americano and is very suitable for cappuccino.
